This is PART of a true story.  Other factors I’ve had to leave out because A) naming other parties responsible would only add misery to the situation, and B) in the end, I was the one who mentally shut down when all the red flags were going up.  I guess what bothers me is that the last comment in the last panel seems to be the most on-point…for myself and probably others who’ve hit the same wall.
